Founded by visionaries Bonnie Hinschberger and Susan Pearson, Broad Escapes emerged from decades of industry experience and a vision to create something truly different in women’s travel. What began as a dream to bring women together through meaningful journeys has blossomed into a community of travellers who share unforgettable experiences while making positive impacts on the communities we visit.

As Co-Founder of Broad Escapes, Bonnie Hinschberger brings 30+ years of travel industry expertise paired with a deep commitment to creating transformative journeys for women travellers. Her vision goes beyond typical tourism—Bonnie curates extraordinary experiences that are meaningful to each traveller while enhancing economic and social sustainability in the regions we visit.
Bonnie’s passion for supporting women extends across borders. She actively seeks out and incorporates women’s cooperatives into Broad Escapes itineraries, creating authentic cultural exchanges that benefit local communities and enrich our travellers’ experiences.
With her photographer’s eye for detail and adventurer’s spirit for discovery, Bonnie specializes in designing “off the beaten path” experiences that reveal the true essence of each destination. She believes travel should be both personally fulfilling and globally responsible—a philosophy that guides every aspect of the unique journeys she creates.
