Women, Wine & Wanderlust
In Portugal’s Douro Valley
May 13 – 22, 2025
We invite you to join us in Portugal, one of Europe’s oldest countries.
We begin in the riverside city and World Heritage Site of Porto. With postcard-perfect ambience and Old-World charm, Porto is the ideal place to be introduced to the history, traditions, architecture, and culture of Portugal, and a good place for a glass of Port too! Venture out to the heart of the Ponte de Lima, Portugal’s oldest town with an adorable mix of stunning scenery, vineyard-filled valleys, centuries-old palaces, and beautiful manor houses. Settle into a Manor House dating back to the 16th century. Here we’ll have day excursions visiting villages and traditional towns such as Barcelos, Braga and Guimaraes, one of the prettiest in Portugal. Connect with locals, learn about their traditions, and indulge in the flavours of the region’s wines and authentic cuisine. Continue to the magnificent Douro Valley, whose landscape and vineyards are inscribed on the list of World Heritage Sites. Enjoy the breathtaking landscapes of the manmade terraces, explore the vineyards, taste the wine and learn about the production of the world-famous Port wine. Embrace the beauty of the wine-growing regions, sip, taste and learn, before returning to Porto for a farewell dinner.
Portugal shines with culture and history, magnificent architecture, panoramic landscapes and culinary experiences that make each day spent there rich in pleasures. Share the camaraderie of travelling with a small group of women in this beautiful gem of a country.

A travel industry veteran for the past 40+ years, my passion for travel was ignited early and is imbedded in my DNA!
Born under the Tuscan Sun in the beautiful township of Lucca, we immigrated to Canada in my early teens. Not long after I returned to Italy several times, and thus began my love for travel and exploration.
It was only natural that I would join the Travel Industry, embarking on two amazing careers in the Airline and Travel Agency sector, weaving a tapestry of experiences and expertise. Over the years I have hosted group tours to Quebec; Italy (including Sicily); Portugal; France; Switzerland; Amsterdam and Rhine River; UK; Ireland; Greek Islands; Morocco and several major US cities. I have also travelled extensively across Canada and to several other countries such as Croatia, Brazil, India, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Australia!
Today I am thrilled to join Broad Escapes as a Tour Manager, using my own adventures and expertise to inspire and to go beyond the ordinary, creating experiences that linger long after the suitcase is unpacked.
I look forward to travelling with you!
